The Lodge
We will be
staying at
the chalets
owned by THE
LODGE on
Lake
Matinenda.
It is a
wilderness,
turn of the
century
lodge built
in the
1920's. This
area used to
be a fairly
large saw
mill (the
foundation
is still
standing
today). The
lodge was
originally
built for
American
Hunters. Now
it is for
everyone to
enjoy all
year long.
It is
located in
the heart of
Northern
Ontario.
We
have
reserved 3
Chalets.
2 Chalets
will sleep 6
people and
the other
chalet will
sleep 4
people.
NO
TURNING BACK
Because we
have
reserved the
3 Chalets,
we will have
to use them.
If we fall
below the
number
needed to
fill the 3
Chalets, we
will still
have to pay,
so lets make
sure that we
have at
least 16
people
attending
this year.
Cabin
Captains
This year, I
have created
Cabin
Captains who
are in
charge of
the people
and fees
associated
with each
Chalet (Or
Cabin).
John France
has
requested a
cabin for
his group,
and Casey
volunteered
to stay in
the cabin on
the hill.
I (Duane
Dew) will be
in charge of
the other
chalet.
I will
collect the
money for
the week
from John
and Casey.
This will
make money
collection
easy as each
cabin
captain
collect from
the people
that are
staying in
their cabin
and make
sure it is
right and
then I
(Duane Dew)
will only
have to make
sure that
the two lots
of money I
receive from
the is
correct..
The Cabin
Captains, if
they desire, will
also
facilitate
planning for
food and
supplies for
each cabin.
DATES
The Dates we
have
reserved are
Friday June,
24th through
Friday July
1st
COST
The cost
this year
will be

Cabin
Captains
Casey Allen
- Cabin on
the Hill
Duane Dew -
Cabin 1
John France
- Cabin 2
Each of
these
SPECIAL
cabin
captains
will be
responsible
for
organizing
whatever
needs to be
organized
for their
cabin.... Or
someone
else,
whatever...
but more
importantly,
they will
collect all
the money
from the
people in
their cabin.
This will
allow ME
(DUANE DEW)
to receive
money from
only two
people and
then I can
pay the
LODGE.
The price
will be
TOTAL PRICE
OF ALL THREE
CABINS
divided by
the TOTAL
NUMBER OF
PEOPLE.
It will not
1000 per
cabin and
the people
staying in
that cabin
must split
1000....
This will
eliminate
any problems
if there is
a cabin with
4 and
another with
10....
Each person
no matter
what cabin
you are in
will pay
equal
amounts.....
Optional
Persons
staying at
the Lodge
If needed,
some
individuals
may choose
to stay at
the LODGE.
I have
spoken with
Jimmy and
have been
informed
that the
price for
this is $30
per night
per person
and does not
include any
meals.
If a person
were to stay
at the lodge
Friday night
through
Wednesday
Night and
depart on
Thursday
morning, the
weekly price
would be
$180ca which
is $146.02us

Cabins
Cabin 1 Can
Sleep 6
People (The
Cabin on the
Left in the
above
picture)
Cabin 2 Can
sleep 5 or
6. A
Portable
mattress is
recommended.
Cabin 3 is
the cabin on
the hill.
This is the
largest of
the 3
cabins,
however this
cabin is
suppose to
sleep 8, but
that is with
2 Queen
beds.
Unless there
is some
quality
snuggle time
in this
place, I
believe this
will only
sleep 4.
It is
advised that
some
portable
mattresses
are brought
for this to
sleep 6
people.
There is
plenty of
room for the
mattresses.
FOOD
Each
individual
is
responsible
for food.
