Masterpieces

Here's where you get an overview of some of Sarah's masterpieces. I will be writing something new once every so often.

The Prayer

          This beautiful program of Sarah really brings out her long lines and she shows great extension and love for skating. This program is well constructed with movements in all the right places. It's not too fancy with arms flailing everywhere, neither is it too plain that it's boring. Sarah has found the perfect balance where choreography and movement truly bring out the essence of the music and the skater's soul. This program touched me greatly. She seems to float over the ice and shows none of the effort it takes to get power off blades. Sarah's deep smooth edges are signs of quality skating. She skates with such a delicate quality and she has learned to get that connection with the audience. She brings them in and embraces them with her innocence and joy. Each movement if done exquisitely and to the max. Her inside spiral is superior and as Dick Button said, it truly is a challenge to the Michelle Kwan's. Her back outside camel spin shows off her excellent spinning ability. This wonderful variation of the camel is a great display of hard work and it's pleasant to watch. Her catch spin is among the best and has improved so much. It really is a breath-taker, as is her Y-Spin. Her extension on the Y-spin is fantastic. Her leg is up by her ear and her other leg is not bent. She is able to spin at a comfortable speed like that and at the same time smile. Over the past season you can tell how diligently Sarah has worked, she has consistently shown us that she's a hard worker and a person of great values.
