Luigi will spend most of the Summer in Bologna as his recovery continues and Mike Banks will be making regular visits, he is expected back at Chelsea in August for his recovery to step up a gear.

Progress Report

October 13th 1999

He has started some light training in Bologna , but his knee remains a bit stiff, lets all hope he does not have to retire.

December 29th 1999

Gigi has had his final operation on his knee that is designed to improve the available use and movement of the knee.

The operation went well and he can bend his knee almost as good as his good knee.

He continues to improve and is working towards his goal of returning to Chelsea and getting back into action
