Our record signing of £10Million, has all the credentials we need upfront, good in the air, strong, holds the ball up well, and has a genuine physical presence to worry defenders.

Chris had won the Premiership with Blackburn partnering Alan Shearer upfront, so his expirience and knowledge, he will be a valuable asset to us , as we strive for Premiership glory.

Although not the fans favourite due to his time at Blackburn, but when he starts knocking the ball in the net, we are sure he will be loved just as much as "Sparky"

It will be interesting to see if he can build up a great partnership with Gianfranco Zola, and with the chances we create, Chris can score many goals for Chelsea.

When he signed for us he said that "He wanted to learn and improve his game", with the wonderfull talent around him, He will surely improve his all round game and a England call-up is on the cards once again
