CHELSEA SIGN SUPER MARIO
	Chelsea have completed their first pre-season signing by taking advantage of the Bosman ruling yet again. Mario Malchiot, a 22 year-old Defender or Defensive Midfielder, will join Gianluca Vialli's side on July 1st from Ajax on a 3 year contract. Malchiot , who has 13 under- 21 caps for Holland, will cost Chelsea nothing in terms of a transfer fee as he is put of contract-just as previous signings Brian Laudrup and Gustavo Poyet have been. Chelsea have been frustrated in their attempts to strengthen their squad over recent weeks . However the capture of Malchiot, who has made 100 appearances for Ajax, has at least set the ball rolling , with a number of further signings still expected before the start of the season.
