Mikael Forssell No 32

At the age of 16 Mikael was one of the hottest properties in Europe while playing for Finnish champions HJK Helsinki, and was being watched by several European sides including Ajax, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Sampdoria and Glasgow Rangers, but it was Chelsea who he wanted to sign for.

At the age of 17th with his eye for goal and pace he made his debut away to Arsenal on the 31st Jan 1999 and showed us all what a talent he is for the future.

Mikael was described by Dennis Wise as the best young player he had ever trained with and he is still young, and as long as he is nurtured along and not thrown into the big time to quickly, he is going to be a massive talent.
