Luigi will probably look back and say that season 98/99 was the worst moment of his career after suffering a shocking injury to his knee at Upton Park, which kept him out for the rest of the season.

The injury was so bad that at one time surgeons thought that they may of had to ampulate his leg, such was the severity of the injury.

Thank god he is on his way to a complete recovery and will be available in  the new season 99/2000.
