Deschamps who was also house hunting in London today before returning to France will return to join up with his new Chelsea team-mates on July 9th.
Leboeuf who upset English Premiership opposition last season by continually referring to France's World Cup-winning triumph but Deschamps will not be following that trend.
"I have a medal at home and of course it is the most important I have won , but I want to look ahead -not back he said
"My ambition now is to win more titles and medals with Chelsea"
Deschamps who has signed a 3 year contract said it was likely that he would finish his playing career in London and added
"If it had been a choice between Chelsea and Man Utd I would still of chosen Chelsea"
"The important thing for me is that my familly are comfortable and London is a great city , I am looking forward to discovering it"
Deschamps was also critical of the system which allows players such as Arsenal's Nicolas Anelka to move between clubs more frequently
"Since the Bosman ruling there has been more mobility , "I would not want to judge Anelka but I dont believe it's a good thing to change to often"
Deschamps who was once described by Eric Cantona as a "water carrier" but he said
"I dont want to be in the spotlight , my role is to help my team-mates , it's worked well this far and I want it to contnue"
"English football is changing, it use to be tough and physical but it is becoming more tactical , I dont think the number of matches will be a problem , I am use to playing a lot of games in a season.
