S.I.K (Sporting International Karate) of Kiryat Yam is one of the biggest karate clubs in Israel. the club consists of more than 300 karate trainees men and women of all ages under the instructional supervision of sensei Doron Cohen (Dan 6), This is the place to remind the following: Tomer Amit (Dan 4), Kahid Ganem (Dan 2) and Kfir Cohen (Dan 1) who are members of the National "Hapoel" team of Israel, Doron himself uses as the team trainer and his father Eli Cohen as the team secretary and a center Referee in Championships.
The club along with a number of other clubs from Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Bialik and Acco depend on the Israeli S.I.K Association, under the instruction of sensei Natan Ben Harush (Dan 7), who is the lead instructor of the israeli Association. the Association consist of over 1000 karate trainees, further more the Israeli Association is part of the international S.I.K association who was founded by sensei Serge Chouraqui (Dan 8). The Association headquarters is located in 44 Rue Daguerre 75014 Paris.
Sensei Chouraqui is the president of the international S.I.K association and owns an unique ideas in the modern ShotoKan, he is considered one of the best karate experts in france and for that reason he is the main judge of Dan tests in france and was elected to coach the national france team. From year to year sensei Churaqui comes to israel in order to coach a training camp that ends with tests for the trainees who fit the Dan Ranks criteria by him based.
The club promotes with blessing all Associations or groups that would bring rightchesness and the drive to create group effort and likewise all those interested to join
