The Station's 121st Birthday - 11 August 2001
Home Page - Bed & Breakfast - Souvenirs
Traditionally Ormondville Rail Preservation Group celebrates the anniversary of the station's opening on 9 August 1880, with a birthday dinner. At one time these were held at the station itself, but growing numbers of participants required the need for alternative arrangements.
The 121st birthday celebration was held in the supper room of the Ormondville Hall. The main course of the three-course meal was another variation on the 'Pea, Pie & Pud' theme we (and rail excursionist guests) had enjoyed so immensely when we catered dinner at the station, for a train excursion some months ago.
