Plains Rangers did not have a happy game against Rotorua City on Saturday.
While
Rangers had a very good first half hour, they could not capitalise on
their wealth of
possession. A number of chances went begging. After that frustration set
in and
Rangers play deteriorated. The game was goal-less at half time.
Midway through the second half, Rotorua City made the most of a free kick.
The well
taken strike gave keeper Matt Aberhart little chance. Ten minutes later
City repeated
the dose and it was game over. Plains Rangers 0, Rotorua City 2.
One of the few to emerge from the game with credit, from Rangers point
of view, was
defender Harley Delacy.
This Saturday Rangers begin the second round of BOP div one, with an away
game at
Tauranga City United.
