Red Dog Radio Network Broadcast Team
Joe Nolan
Joe returns for his third season as the voice of the Red Dogs on the radio. Joe has been broadcasting traffic reports on the radio since 1979. He has been with Metro Traffic Control since it opened in New York in 1988. He has also been a member of the WPLJ morning radio show since 1989. On television, he can be seen on Eyewitness News This Morning, Good Morning America and Eyewitness News at Five on WABC-TV Channel 7 in the New York area. Nolan, a native of Westfield, NJ, attended Seton Hall University where his radio career began in 1976. He did play-by-play for Pirates’ Basketball, Football and Baseball. Joe also serves as a fill-in PA Announcer for the NHL’s New Jersey Devils. He is very active in the Hillsborough Dukes, Pop Warner Football team, which his two sons (Brad & Conor) are members of. He also coaches a little league team for Hillsborough and is very active with several charitable organizations such as: Cystic Fibrosis and several hospitals in Central New Jersey. Nolan is President of JBN Radio, a corporate partner of the Red Dogs, which is looking forward to working with the Jimmy V Foundation in the future. Joe, and Color-Analyst, Scott Stanford had the opportunity to broadcast the Jimmy V Basketball Tournament for WABC Radio this past fall.
Scott Stanford
Scott is beginning his second season as a member of the Red Dogs radio broadcast team. Stanford was the news anchor for WFAS-AM, Westchester, NY prior to joining the Red Dog Radio Network. He served as an announcer at the Special Olympics World Games’ Opening Ceremonies for NBC-TV in 1995. Scott was also an announcer for the "NHL Today", a syndicated radio show focusing on the National Hockey League. Stanford is currently the Executive Producer/Host for Car TV Productions, Inc., a television/infomercial production company based in Nyack, NY. Stanford recently was a member of the broadcast team for WABC Radio during the Jimmy V Basketball Tournament, where he did color commentary and was “very excited to cover the Duke vs. Kentucky game."
Tina Cervasio
Tina is back with the Red Dogs Radio Network for a second year in an expanded role. "Tina’s Turf Talk," a segment in the Pre-Game show which features one-on-one Interviews with Red Dogs players as well as coaches. Cervasio will also be traveling with the team in ‘99 so look for "Turf Talk" to be aired prior to all Red Dogs radio broadcasts. Some of Tina’s professional credits include: 1998 Jimmy V Basketball Tournament, Production for FOX on Super Bowl XXXIII, 1998 World Series, 1997 Stanley Cup and Major League Baseball’s ALCS. Tina also served as play-by-play and sideline reporter for Island TV Sports on Staten Island Cable. Cervasio also serves as a regional reporter for Phoenix Communications Croup, Inc., covering national sports events in the tri-state area. Her pieces are then made available to NBC Affiliates throughout the country. Cervasio grew up just three miles from the Meadowlands and is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in journalism.
