KENNEL CLUB WILL WATCH RED DOGS AT SEAWOLVES ON TV, NOT IN PERSON DURING WEEK 14
BASKING RIDGE, NJ (April 2) -- By a 5-1 vote of it’s management team, the Kennel Club announced today that Road Trip #2 that was originally scheduled for July 25th to Hartford has been replaced with a sixth Kennel Club Night at Charlie Brown’s in Montclair, NJ to take place on Monday, July 26th at 8pm. The reason for decision was the change to the New Jersey Red Dogs schedule after the Week 14 game was moved to Monday night to accommodate ESPN’s television schedule.

The game at Hartford versus the Seawolves was originally scheduled for a Sunday afternoon making it perfect for a leisurely bus event for the Kennel Club. But now with a Monday night 8pm start, it would be a logistical nightmare to battle rush hour traffic to make it from New Jersey to Hartford on time.

The cancellation of Road Trip #2 leaves the Kennel Club with only one
Road Trip this season. That trip will be on Saturday, June 12th when the Red Dogs take on the Firebirds in Albany for a rematch of last season exciting play-off game. But while the Kennel Club loses a Road Trip, they gain a Kennel Club Night. This season the fan club had planed five nights to watch away games at Charlie Brown’s in Montclair, NJ. The change in scheduling now gives the club a sixth night. "Although we’re disappointed about not going to Hartford, we’re excited to pick up another Kennel Club Night." said club CEO Ike, "We were a little worried about closing the KC Night series with a game versus Tampa Bay that may not be available on TV. But now that we’re assured our last regular season KC Night will be on espn2, we are very pleased. Hopefully, the Red Dogs will be in the middle of a great play-off race."

The Kennel Club would like to remind it’s members that all schedule updates will be communicated on the club’s web site and in club’s newsletter, "Paw Print". But the best way to get up-to-the-minute info on any event is to call the Kennel Club Hotline at 1-888-RED-DOGS x1246.
