  • Clemson Men’s Basketball Project: Fall 2000 – Worked with a group to develop a program that could be used to increase early-season attendance of basketball games through the use of loyalty programs and implementing better ticket distribution policies.

 

  • Clemson Football Survey: Spring 2000 – Developed research questions for a survey to be distributed at home football games during the 2000 season. The results are to be used by the Clemson Athletic Dept.

 

  • Product Management Class Project – Along with a small group, went through the process of bringing a product to market. Chose a product near the end of its developmental stage; evaluated its chance of being successful based on the potential market and the costs associated with production and distribution of the product.

 

  • Best Practices Program - Summer 2000 - Visited each of the following organizations: The Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Sports Council, Collegiate Licensing Company and NASCAR. Was able to see the business side of many sport organizations as well as some of the behind-the-scene operations. Had the opportunity to discuss various aspects of their marketing programs and strategies.

 

 

Personal Interests / Activities

 

  • Hobbies: classic cars, water skiing, science fiction.
  • In 1998, I established a Fantasy Football League in which I continue to participate and coordinate.
  • I escorted the Olympic Torch through Toccoa, GA on its way to the opening ceremonies in Atlanta in 1996.
