Nath's Fantasy Cricket
FAQ
WTF is Fantasy Cricket?
In a nutshell, you select a team of players (the combination of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeeper and all-rounders may vary from comp to comp), your players receive points from each game (assuming they're playing), and whoever has the team with the most points at the conclusion of the comp wins. Please note the restrictions on selecting a maximum number of players from a particular country. (invalid entries mean more work! Grrr!)
How do I know if my team has been received?
(Please Note: When you attempt to submit a team, the form will preview the info you have entered an the screen, you must hit confirm to send it through.) You will then receive an automated confirmation email with your team details (assuming you have provided a correct and valid email address). I always aim to check entries and post people a copy of their selected team within 24-48 hours.. If you have submitted an invalid entry, I will attempt to email you and provide you with a explanation of why your team is invalid.
The damn entry page is having issues! How can I contact you?
My email addy is posted at the bottom of the page for this forum (under 'contact admin'). Please label your email "Fantasy Cricket" or something similar, otherwise it gets trashed.
Can I make suggestions for future comps?
All feedback of any nature is welcome. Doesn't mean it will be acted upon, but it's welcome.
Oops, I don't like my team. Can I change it?
You may change your team as many times as you like up until the competition begins. After the competition is underway, no changes to teams will be allowed. Sorry.
Awww! Why Not?
Does my team have to be in batting order?
No. Also if you wish, you could stack your team with openers, or middle order players. It's up to you. Pick the players who you think will perform the best under the scoring system.
Player so-and-so was injured in the last game. Can I have a substitute?
Unfortunately no (unless they're injured before the cut-off period for entries), injuries are part of the game.
How are players' performances scored?
1 point per run
5 points per catch or stumping
20 points per wicket
Trump players are worth double points
Are there any prizes?
Alas, there are no prizes in these Fantasy Comps. There are provided for the fun, fame and glory of beating your friends.
