The Oklahoma AFA is taking Oklahoma by storm. The 2000 season brought another great year of fastpitch softball to Oklahoma, ending the year with two National Tournaments being held in Oklahoma. Although no teams from Oklahoma won the Championships hosted by Oklahoma AFA, several state teams placed high in the competition and look to compete for the 2001 title. Oklahoma did bring back a National Championship in the 16-Under division, with the Stillwater Steele besting the field in Kansas City. The growth of the AFA in Oklahoma is expected to continue as we enter the 2001 season. With a record number of teams signing up to play AFA in 1999 and 2000, followed by our success at all National tournaments, we expect to continue to grow for many years. While the growth of our organization is welcomed, it does bring with it a new problem. In order to continue to grow and promote the best quality softball, the Oklahoma AFA is in need of fields to host tournaments. If your organization or league can provide us with quality fields to host more tournaments, please let us know. You can e-mail us from this site or leave your information in our guestbook. We will update the tournament pages of this web site as soon as the schedule and results are made available. Thank you for your support of Oklahoma AFA and the girls who love to play . |
