The Rockledge Club of the NPS Taekwondo Association is one of our newest clubs. It was founded by Vic Diramio in December 1996, and is made up of approximately 50 members of the Lake Ridge community around Rockledge Elementary School. The Beginners Class is now led by Mike Wooten and Caryn Dampier continues to run the Advanced Class. Now that the school year has started the club will begin meeting at Rockledge Elementary School. Class will meet Monday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM for beginners and 7:30 PM for advanced class. For a complete schedule, see Schedule.
The club is open to all Rockledge students and their parents who wish to study the art of Taekwondo, and anyone else for that matter. There are currently no membership fees or monthly dues. Please see Rockledge Membership and Test Requirements for additional information.
Instructors include Caryn and Dave Dampier, Mike Wooten and Tim Thomas. Mike recieved his 2nd Dan Black Belt here at the Rockledge Club. Tim was awarded his 1st Dan Black Belt here at the Rockledge Club on June 11, 1999. Mike and Tim will be the primary instructors for the Beginners Class starting this summer!
