Undergraduate Studies: On June of 1999 I graduated from the National
Technical University of Athens with the degree of Electrical and Computer
Engineering. In accordance to the E.C.E.
Department's choice of offered directions I focused my studies on the
subjects of Telecommunications, Automation Systems and Computer Networks.
Diploma Thesis: VSAT Networks
On June of '99 I completed my thesis on VSAT Networks. The thesis covered
the basic topics of the VSAT theory and an analysis of the link budget
in a VSAT network. In a few words, VSAT stands for "Very Small Aperture
Terminals" and describes an earth station provided with a small antenna.
This station is connected with many other similar stations through a satellite,
building thus a Communications Network. You can follow this
link to watch my presentation (in greek) that summed up my thesis.
Postgraduate Studies: Since October of 2001 I completed the Master of Science in Communications
Engineering in the beautiful city of Munich, Germany. This highly competitive course was offered by the Technical University of Munich and (surprise, surprise) was taught in English.
I liked it in Germany so much that now I am working on my PhD in the field of Communications Engineering.
