| Who Are We? | |
| Phil and Ali Short have owned Ridgebacks for almost 10 years. Having had other dogs previously it was the Ridgeback that they fell in love with. The combination of power, strength and elegance coupled with their gentle nature made them an ideal breed for us and our family. Our first Ridegback was Brutus a moderate male who became a Canadian Champion quickly and had lots of energy in the show ring. With this success we were hooked and acquired Tessa from the US and Red from the UK. After a Best Puppy in Show, Tessa decided she didn't like the show ring and became our first Ridgeback mum. Red really enjoyed the show ring and became a Canadian Champion and is one point from being a US Champion as well. Unfortunately we were not able to breed red but acquired her Niece Flijte from the same breeder. We have now recently had our fourth litter this time a Flijte/Brutus litter. | |
| Our Philosophy. | |
| We breed infrequently and only when we are looking to extend and improve our breeding lines. We only breed from sound breeding stock and our puppies are CKC registered and sold with non-breeding contracts and guarantees for genetic disorders. Our puppies are raised in a family environment and the puppies are 'bomb proof' by the time they leave for their new homes. We love all our dogs and are always looking for good homes and loving families to take care of our puppies. | |
