Ninilchik went winless in the tournament against last year's 2A State Champ Yakutat, 1A Togiak, and 2A rival CIA, but came close in their final game against CIA with only a 3 point loss. In the game against Yakutat, Lindsey Rohr had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist. Ashley had 9 points, 7 rebounds. Heidi had 2 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound. Lindsay S. had 3 points, 2 rebounds. Nicci Mireles had 4 points. Grace had 5 points and 4 rebounds. In the game against Togiak, high scorer was Lindsey Rohr with 10 points and 3 rebounds. Heidi had 9 points and 6 rebounds. Lindsay S. had 9 points and 4 rebounds. Grace scored 6 points and had 5 rebounds. Nicci scored 2 points and had 3 rebounds.

Jan. 25: WIN @ Seldovia, 6 pm. Heidi had 14 points and 7 rebounds. Ashley had 13 points and a monster 12 rebounds. Lindsey R. had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Grace scored 8 points and had 7 rebounds. Lindsay S. had 8 points, 1 assist and 3 rebounds. Timaney had 3 rebounds.
Jan. 29: WIN. Kenai JV here. Four players were in double figures. Lindsey R. had a great night with 22 points and 2 rebounds. Lindsay S. scored 18 and had a whopping 9 rebounds. Heidi had 12 points, 1 assist and 2 rebounds. Lindsay S. had 10 points and 2 rebounds. Ashley had 4 points and 3 rebounds.
Feb. 1: LOSS @ Nikiski, 3:30 pm. Ninilchik plays a great game, losing by just 5 points.
Feb. 2: WIN @ Kenai w/ Kenai JV. Score 50-35.
Feb. 7-9: 2 LOSSES and a WIN @ Barrow Tournament. Last year's champions, 3A Barrow Whalers, overwhelmed Ninilchik 55 to 14. The game with Pt. Hope was a thriller with Ninilchik losing in overtime 48-52. In this game, there were three players in double figures: Heidi w/ 14, Grace w/ 11 and Lindsey Rohr with 10. Other scorers for the evening were Tera w/ 6, Lindsay Schnabl w/ 5 and Ashley w/ 2. Ninilchik beat 3A Dillingham 30-22 with even scoring. Heidi had 7. Grace, Tera and Lindsey Rohr each pitched in 6, Ashley put in 4, and Lindsay S. had a free throw.

7 pm, girls, Ninilchik vs. West. Ninilchik won 46-21. Heidi put in 16. Ashley scored 9. Lindsay Schnabl had 7 followed by Lindsey Rohr w/ 6. Grace and Tera each had 4.

3:30 pm, girls, Ninilchik vs. CIA. Ninilchik wins 54-39. Heidi and Grace were in double figures with 16 and 11 respectively. Lindsey R. had 9 and Lindsay S. had 8. Ashley and Tera each contributed 6.
5:15 pm, boys, Ninilchik vs. CIA
Heidi Skjold was the 3 point contest winner. Grace Ehlers won the post moves contest with 21. All Sports team members were Ashley Bartolowits and Grace Ehlers. All Tourney Team members Heidi, Grace, Lindsey Rohr. Girls took 2nd in the Tourney. Thanks to everyone who helped make this tourney fun and successful!!!!!

Feb. 26: WIN over Nikolaevsk. Grace scored big with 18 points. Following closely were Heidi and Lindsay Schnabl each with 15. Ashley put in 13, Lindsey Rohr 8 and Timaney and RyAnn scored 2 apiece.

Ninilchik girls beat Northway and Point Hope at State to advance to the title game against defending state champions, the Yakutat Eagles. In a hard fought battle and the lowest scoring game in the history of 2A state ball, they lost by 12 (Score was 32-20). Grace Ehlers and Ashley Bartolowits were selected to the State All Tournament Team. Heidi Skjold was selected for First Team All State and Grace and Ashley to the Honorable Mention All State Team.
