GAZVERDE AND SAPP NAMED BWAA/COLUMBIA 300

COLLEGIATE BOWLERS OF THE YEAR

Amber Gazverde, a sophomore at Central Missouri State University and Derek Sapp, a junior at Western Illinois University were named the Bowling Writers Association of America’s Collegiate Bowlers-of-the-Year today.

These bowlers were selected by the BWAA’s Collegiate Committee who voted on resumes sent from around the United States. Each bowler will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the presenting sponsor of this Award, the good folks at Columbia 300.

Also, four bowlers were named Runners-Up and three received Honorable Mentions (names listed below). Bowlers received their awards at the Opening Banquet of the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships, held this evening (Wednesday) in Buffalo, New York.
