ASSOCIATION OF INTERNATIONAL DANCE TEACHERS

The Association is an examining body for Modern & Tap Dancing and has been established for over 35 years.

The Head Office is situated in Johannesburg, South Africa with branches throughout Africa, including Zimbabwe.

Overseas branches have been established in Australia, Canada, Cyprus and Israel. America & England will open by the end of 2002.

2002 EVENTS

The Solo Performers Stage examination was held in the Roodepoort Music Theatre, 7 dancers were awarded the diploma. Congratulations to all seven.

Overseas Examinations: These were held in Australia, Cyprus, Canada & Israel during June. These branches are expanding each year.

South African Examinations: These are held throughout the year.

NEW TAP SYLLABUS: The first 5 grades have been taught throughout South Africa and Internationally. These exams have been extremely well received. The next set of grades are now being choreographed.

FINAL NEW MAJOR EXAM: This will be choreographed by the end of the year!

Ø The Society keeps on the move and constantly updates the syllabi.

Ø Bursaries are awarded to promising and deserving dancers.

Ø Our aims are to produce good teachers & professional dancers by drawing up comprehensive teachers & performers examination syllabi.
