MICHAEL WALTRIP RACING: A NEW ERA

Michael Waltrip started his team with modest beginnings in 1996. For the next 11 seasons, Michael Waltrip Racing competed in more than 190 NASCAR Busch Series races. Waltrip himself blossomed into one of the top drivers in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, earning two Daytona 500 victories. In 2007, Michael Waltrip Racing joins forces with Toyota to field three full-time NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams, while continuing its successful NASCAR Busch Series program. Michael Waltrip Racing’s new complex in Cornelius, N.C. has also been expanded to include Waltrip Raceworld, a 140,000-square foot entertainment and racing destination.
