There's more to life (in Budapest) than puzzles

Of course there was also some great events scheduled besides the puzzle rounds. We saw a lot of Budapest and we could also get an impression of the Hungarian countryside. These are some pictures I made during the 6 days I was there. For more (and far better) stories on this part of the trip I would like to bring Zack Butler's and Niels Roest's report under your attention.

..

This are pictures taken in a market we visited on the Pest side of Budapest.
See Paul doing everything to get on a picture!
First picture from left to right: Hans, Martijn (our spiritual guide) and Paul;
Second picture: a part of Paul, Jeroen's back and an impression of the market.

Paul trying to improve his puzzling after an unlucky first day.
It was, by the way, very effective.

A view on Pest as seen from the Buda side. On the left you can see the houses of parliament.
On the right you see the Saint Stephen's church and the famous chain bridge.

..

Liberty hill and liberty statue.

Another famous bridge, liberty bridge a.k.a. the Franz Joseph bridge.

..

On the left the fishers bastion, on the right it's me looking over the Danube.

Part of the group as we joined a guided tour, again look at Paul.

..

On the left the individual rostrum, on the right the top-3 teams congratulating each other.

The Rostrum!

..

The 2nd place team: standing: Hans, Tim and Martijn, sitting: Rob, Paul and Niels, lying: Jeroen.

After 3 days of puzzles we were exhausted!

..

Pictures from Opustazser, on the left a few of the strange buildings which can be found there.
On the right: We have to admit that there are taller things than Jeroen.

..

Although we preferred the bakery, we always ended up watching the horse show.
