It's that time of year again when I write to ask for your support for the Lichfield Nomads 50 Club Prize Draw. It has been another enjoyable season, the highlight of which was the successful third tour of Belgium. We achieved good wins against the likes of Swynnerton, Beaudesert, Cannock Wood and Friary. The latter resulting in the Nomads winning the 'Stewart Ellison' trophy.
The season finished with honours even after seven wins and seven defeats, which meant that the Captain didn't have to stump up for a curry for the team.
As always, the social side is just as important and the trip to the Oval to see England beat the West Indies and clinch the series was a rare chance to see England win.
The 50 club is ready to start another 12 month run of prize draws and I hope that you will join in the 'fun' and participate with your hard earned cash.
There will be 12 monthly draws commencing in October. Each month there are 2 prizes, the first prize is £15 and the second prize is £10. There are also extra 'free' draws at Christmas (£50) and Easter (£25).
The cost is still only £1 for each monthly draw or £11 for the year in advance.
There is no need to remind you that the funds raised play a vital part in ensuring the financial survival of the club, so it is important that we sell as many numbers as we can over the next few weeks and your support would once again be appreciated.
For your information I have enclosed a list of this year's winners on a separate sheet.
I have also enclosed a form that you can return to myself to confirm the numbers you would like to take up for the 2000 / 2001 draws.
As with this year I will be publishing the results on the Nomads web site.

I am happy to accept cheques at the Annual Dinner on 20/10/00, at the AGM on 26/10/00 or by post.
Also, if you do not want to take part please let me know so that we can free up the spare number for someone else.
