The Nomads registered their first win of the season against Stafford 3rds. Last minute call ups to the second team left the Stafford third team weakened and the Nomads took full advantage with a 71 run win. Nomads batted first and recovered from 10 for 2 to score 171 for 5. With the highlights being 53 from Mal Pinfield and a stand of 64 between John Hoddy and debutant Mick McGuinness. Chris Rowland picked up 5 for 18 as Stafford 3rds were bowled out for 100, to ensure an emphatic win for the Nomads.
