30/5/99 - Heavens intervene against 12
Stars. The British School, Tervuren was the venue for Nomads second tour match in Belgium. 12 Stars batted first and posted a useful 196 from 40 overs. Osmond 52, Hoddy 2-25, Rowland 2-35. Nomads responded well with an excellent opening stand of 99 from Heslington (41) and Gardner (46). But just as 12 Stars were beginning to make inroads into the Nomads batting, at 134 for 4, torrential rain accompanied by thunder and lightning left no alternative but to abandon the match as a draw with 11 overs left. |

There were Gonads for Fearon and Rowland, later 'celebrated' in traditional style with a Kwak. 16/5/99 - Nomads fall short at Norton Lichfield Nomads failed to make it 3 wins in a row against Worcester Norton Taverners C.C. Worcester got off to a good start and seemed set for a score of around 225 in their 45 overs. Despite several costly dropped catches, some solid Nomads bowling late on restricted them to 180 odd. Nomads batting was poor and wickets fell cheaply. The middle order and tail performed well to give the Nomads hope but in the end the lack of a big score from the Nomads front line batsmen proved too much as Nomads fell short. |

|
9/5/99 - Nomads triumph against Norton. Nomads beat Norton by 104 runs. Heavy overnight rain made the pitch damp and slow and the Nomads did well to bat out for the full 40 overs. Opener Fearon scored a useful 43, including a 6 and six 4's, before holing out to former Walsall keeper, Griffiths, at long on. Forster, Hoddy and Greaves all made useful contributions as Nomads reached 126 for 9. Hoddy and Graham Blackburn finished off the tail as Norton could only reach 22. |
