Furley's Have a new name for their new city
Since their departure from forked River, the Death Valley franchise has been looking to make a few more changes to help give the team an entirely new look and and feel. So it has now been announced that the team will be no longer known as the Furley's, but instead as the Pirates. Expansion Teams Announced For 2000 Season
The League has announced that it is looking to have two new expansion teams for the 2000 season. If the league owners are to vote in favor of expansion, this would give Tijuana and Boston a franchise. The would be the first go around for Tijuana, and the second franchise for Boston who was formely the home of hte Beeks until their move to NYC.read more...

The latest news out of Forked River, is that owner David Hojnowksi has plans to move the team to Death Valley as soon as possible.
