Rufino F. Cacabelos
Rufino F. Cacabelos, wrote his autobiography in 1992. We are featuring it on this page because it is not only the story of how the Cacabelos family came to America, it is a first-hand account of Filipino immigration to the United States during the 1920's. It may take a little while to view these, so you might want to bookmark this page. There are 4 parts to his story.
- Part 1 1909-1929: His family beginnings in the Philippines until his immigration to America.
- Part 2 1929-1942: His first 13 years in his new country until he entered the service of the U.S. Army.
- Part 3 1942-1954: His military service up to the time he met my mother.
- Part 4 1954-1992: His family life as a husband, father, and grandfather.
He wrote this story for our family, and we welcome you to read his words. It's a wonderful view of life. Please enjoy it.
