Welcome to AngelMist Farm...Nestled on 600 acres of some of the most beautiful property in Southern Ontario, we feel privledged to be able to offer you some of the best equine services in Canada. Our farm concentrates mainly on hunter/jumper and dressage, but we also offer an opportunity for eventers to train on a top notch course, with qualified coaches. We are also pleased to be able to bring you six of the most talented stallions, all available for breeding, as well as many of their young offspring for sale. We hope you enjoy the tour...

BARN

The barns at AngelMist Farm are all joined with 10 foot wide cememt aisles, which have rubber mats under each set of cross ties. Due to the ever changing climate in this region, there is a central air heating and cooling system, for all barns including the indoor arena. Circulation fans are left on year round to keep air moving properly throughout the barn. All stalls in the barn are 12X12 feet, and have a barred window which opens out, automatic water bowls, metal feed bowls, as well as a stall ball and mineral block. The top of the doors in the stalls open out into the aisle, so horses can get a look at what's going on. All stalls are bedded with 1 foot of shavings, which are covering a rubber mat.

STALLIONS

If you want to wow the judges...then LEGACY's offspring are the ones to chose.

At AngelMist Farm all of our young dressage prospects are brought up to the Grand Prix level slowly and carefully. Legacy was first put under the saddle at the age of 3. We tried to bring him along slowly, but four years later he had mastered some of dressage's most difficult movements. No matter how much we tried to slow him down, he always wanted more. Legacy makes piaffe and passage look like's child play, and one tempi's are a game to him. Ace is incredibly outgoing, and bold. Some said these traits would make him impossible to work with, but we think it gives him the power to strive for the best!

Legacy is an 8 year old, 17hh, dapple grey Dutch Warmblood, with a star and no other markings. Ace is a very quick learner, with a very bold, strong-willed personality. He is currently competing at the Grand Prix Level of Dressage, and he has been approved by the Royal Dutch Warmblood Studbook (KWPN), he is Licensed by the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association, and he scored a 10 at the 100 day stallion test in 1995 for his gaits AND his dressage abilities. Legacy's sire, Athos, is a former mount of Olympian Rheiner Klimke. His dam, Asamelle, was short listed for the 1988 Canadian Olympic Dressage Team.

Ace's first try in the Grand Prix Ring at the age of 7 earned him a 71% in Fifth Level Test 3, and 68.5% in Fifth Level Test 4. He holds 5 Grand Prix Championships, and 3 Reserve Championships on the Southern Ontario Recognized Dressage Show Circuit. Ace has never had a score below 60% at the FEI levels of dressage. At "Dressage at Saratoga" Ace was 3rd in Grand Prix with 66.67% , 3rd in the Grand Prix Speciale with 64.56%, and 1st in the Kur with 74.45%. At "Dressage At Devon" he was 2nd in both the Grand Prix Speciale with 69.67%, and the Kur with 72.34%...he did all of this in his first year of Grand Prix Dressage competition!

Are you looking to sire a future dressage horse? If you want to win, than just any stud will do, but with an AMIRAGE offpsring, you won't just win in the dressage world, you'll own it!

Amirage is son to the now deceased stallion, Gauguin de Lully. Gauguin was the only dressage stallion to win two World Cups, and two Olympic medals. But history is not all that makes a great stud. Amirage has made a name for himself across Canada by winning; 1991 Reserve Basic 2 Champion Across Canada, 1992 Finished 4th Nationally at the Basic 4 Level in Canada, 1993 Reserve Medium 2 Champion Across Canada, 1994 Canadian Medium 4 Level Champion, 1995 Advanced Champion at 6 of the 8 shows he attended (reserve twice), Reserve Advanced Canadian Champion, and Member of the CanAm team that attended 3 shows, winning 2, and placing 2nd in one. Then, this summer at the tender age of 9, Amirage attended his first Summer Olympic Games. The tension and atmosphere proved to be almost too much for him to handle, but he shone through, placing 6th in the Grand Prix, and 11 in the Grand Prix Speciale

Amirage has the history, but he also has a present....what more could you ask for if you want a dressage star of your own. Amirage is a 9 year old, 17.1hh, bay Swedish Warmblood, with a star and three white socks. He is very very eager to please, and it incredibly easy to get along with. Amirage is currently competing in the level of Grand Prix Dressage, is a member of the Swedish National Stud, is Approved by the Swedish Warmblood Association, and is Licensed by the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association.

Amirage's sire, Gauguin de Lully, is the winner of two World Cups & two Olympic medals, and his dam, Mimi, mothered numerous top world class dressage horses. Other members of Amirage's family include: Reipo (first North American Stallion to win an Olympic Dressage Medal), and Piaff (won two Olympic Gold Medals in 1968 and 1972).

Are you hoping to become a future star on the North American and International Show Circuit, but can't decide exactly what discipline you wish to concentrate on or which horse to take you there? AngelMist Farm has the answer! Our newest arrival, TANTIEME, produces offspring that are both equally talented in hunter/jumper and dressage. A TANTIEME baby offers you the choice of a future as either a star show jumper, or international dressage sensation.

Tantieme is a 10 year old, 16.3hh, chestnut Hanoverian, with a blaze and white sock. He has a very calm and docile personality, and we can always rely on him not to act up. Tantieme is currently competing Prix St Georges and Intermediare I. He has been approved by the German Hanoverian Verband, the American Hanoverian Society, and the Canadian Sport Horse Association. He has also scored a 10 on Personality, 9 on Dressage Suitability, and 9 on Jumper Suitability during a 100 Stallion Test.

Tantieme's sire, Tiamore, is an International Show Jumper who won a Silver Medal at the 1984 Canadian Championships, 19 Grand Prix', 21 Hunter Champion titles, and 11 Reserve Champion Titles. His dam, Adelade, is an FEI Dressage Horse who was 3rd in the advanced level of dressage cross Canada in 1982. Tantieme's offspring excell in both the International levels of hunter/jumper, and dressage.

THE POWER OF GRACE ONLY LIES IN THE NAME...DYNASTY
MEET THE INDIVIDUAL SILVER MEDALIST AT THE 1996 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES...

Dynasty is an 11 yo, dark bay, Hanoverian standing at 15.3hh. He has a star and four white socks. Dynasty has three elegant ground covering gaits, with incredible passage and trot extensions. He is a very quick learner, and easy to work with.

Dynasty left his first dressage show at the Grand Prix level, with a 67.3% and a 68.4%. He also dominated the HOCK Dressage Circuit this summer with over 10 Grand Prix and Grand Prix Speciale victories, as well as the 6 month Champion Award at the Grand Prix Level. His most incredible accomplishment was the individual silver medal he and Erin Sarsfield won this summer, at the Horse Country Summer Olympics.

Dynasty's incredible talents are inherited by all of his offspring. Dynasty's Gift, owned by Sarah Blair of WillowWood Stable, is now standing successfully at stud with proven premium performace offspring.

Dynasty's sire, Legend, was a showjumper who dominated the European circuit in the early 1980's, qualifying to attend the 1984 Olympcis in L.A. Dynasty's dam, Goldtrophen, was an F.E.I dressage horse who competed on the Amercan Grand Prix Circuit with outstanding results. She always placed in the top five, and was an alternate at the 1984 Olympics.

If you want, character, courage and heart...forever. Then FOREVER is for you!

Forever is a 13yo, bay, Selle Francais standing at 16.1hh. He has a narrow stripe, and 1 white sock on his left hind leg. Evy has three quick elastic strides, with a bold and enthusiastic personality.

Forever's offspring prove that they are just as good as their dad! Forever Dreaming, owned by Sarah Blair of WillowWood Stable, has won Multiple Championship's over fences, and on the flat. Gifted, owned by Erin Sarsfield of AngelMist Farm, was a Champion line horse as a 3yo, and is now cleaning up the Training Division in the HDA Show circuit.

Forever has achieved many things. He has cleared up to 7 feet in puissance classes at Spruce Meadows, he won the prestigious Joker's Wild puissance class at the Royal Winter Fair in 1989, and he has 27 grand pix wins, and 8 puissance class victories.

Forever's sire, Tonight, dominated the Canadian show jumping circuit in the early 80's. His victories included over 35 grand prix wins, and 6 Nation Cup Championships. His dam, Always, was led to the 84' Olympics by Gail Greenough, placing 9th in the individual standings. Evy's offspring are quick learners, that carry on their father's tradition of excellence in the show jumping rings of the World.

ONLY THE BEST THINGS LAST *FOREVER*

Over the year, Erin has met a lot of people, and the farm has developed a lot of contacts; both in high, and low places. One person works with the Humane Society, and a few months ago, she gave them an urgent call for help.

She found a horse. Not just any horse. This one was special to her. But she could not keep it herself, and chose AngelMist to be his Saving Grace. Out on her rounds, she had recieved a call that a horse was being kept locked up in a filthy little shed, with no food or water; the owner had left him there, and moved away.

Erin went to pick up this horse, not knowing quite what they were getting themselves into. They already had a quarantine area set up in our barn, and had a designated barn staff member, Brad, to be his caregiver. They could not afford to spread germs around the barn, as championship campaigning show horses live there.

Halter, and lead shank in hand, wearing masks and gloves, they found their project. They were there to save him. This "little horse" as they were told, was huge! He was standing in manure up to his knees coughing, droopy headed. It seemed that he was just standing there, waiting to die. Despite his sickening look, they looked in his eye, and saw something very special.

He was loaded onto their trailer, and brought back to the stable, with veterinarian on hand. They were ready to nurse thie sickly horse back to health.

As he was covered in manure, he finally settled down into his stall, and was given a good grooming and bath. Depsite lice, and mange, when Brad got to his left hind leg, he noticed something up above. It was a brand. And after even a closer look - they saw they had a stallion on their hands. After a good look, they were able to recognize the holsteiner branding. After a few good groomings, some nuitrition, and lots of veterinary work, Erin was ready to find out the real history of the new stud, who had already been affectionaly nicknamed Forrest.

They made pictures, and sent detailed descriptons to registries around the world, hoping someone would know something of the history of their new horse.

They recieved a response. Registration Papers, name, and history: Notorius is a 9 year old 17.2hh, Holsteiner Stallion with a star and stripe as well as 3 socks. His sire Frowindus, competed at Third and Fourth Level dressage, before becoming a championship Preliminary Eventer, Winning Badminton CCI in 1982. His Dam Emiront, competed in the Confirmation Hunter Rings as a youngster, and then turned to Medlay Jumper Divisions, winning many reds, a Best-Ever Series in 1980, before she retired to become a brood mare. Notorius' offspring excell in Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and eventing.

Note: the old owner of Forrest was located, and has been charged on many counts of animal neglect and abuse.
