Lorne "Gump" Worsley
Gump won the Calder Trophy in 1952-53 for the Rangers but started the next season in the minors.
Montreal acquired Gump in 1964 in a six player trade that included Jacques Plante.
Won his first Stanley Cup in 1964-65 as a member of the Habs
(vs Chicago).
Named a Second Team All-Star in 1965-66, as a member of the Canadiens (Glenn Hall was first).
Shared the Vezina Trophy in 1966 and again in 1968.
Gump had the lowest GAA in the NHL during the 1967-68
season at 1.98.
Named an NHL First team All-Star in 1967-68.
Gump finished his Montreal career with a GAA of 2.40 and
1.91 in the playoffs.
One of the last goalies to play with a facemask; he did not put one on until his last season.
