Head Coach...Mac Walston

Coach Walston has nearly 25 years of coaching experience from early developmental swimming to Olympic trial qualifer level. He has been head coach of Tidewater's Coast Guard Blue Dolphin Team, head age group coach of the Fort Eustis and Tide Swim teams, high school swim coach for seven years, and a Virginia all-star Eastern Zone coach for seven years. Further, Coach Walston had developed junior and senior national swimmers, high school Academic All-Americans, college scholarship swimmers, and Olympic trial qualifiers. His focus on the development of proper stroke technique is responsible for the advancement of many of Virginia's best swimmers. More important perhaps than his success in turning out quality athletes is Coach Walston's concern for the development of the complete person which has formed the foundation of a quality team environment of which parents and swimmers can be proud. Coach Walston is a member of United States Swimming (USS), American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and the Virginia High School Coaches Association.

Assistant Coach...Sandy Biles

Sandy swam competively for fourteen years with eleven of those years in the Washington D.C. area. She competed at the Junior Olympic level and the senior national level with the nationally recognized Solotar Swim Team. Sandy continued her swimming at the University of Georgia and has been an assistant coach to Mac Walston for more than five years. In 1994, she earned her level III American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) coaching certification. She is also a member of United States Swimming (USS)Sandy is also the head coach of the Glenwood Swim team in the Virginia Beach Swim League.

Assistant Coach... Suzanne Cockrell

Suzanne swam competitively for more than eleven years. She has been a summer league swim coach. She has taught Red Cross Swim classes at all levels. Further, Suzanne has a Master's Degree in Sports Medicine. She is a recent edition to the T.A.C. swim team.
