The Central Jersey Rotisserie League is a baseball rotisserie league, and is comprised of 12 teams with owners from Central and Southern New Jersey. We are entering our 12th season. Our goal is to compete, but mostly to enjoy our favorite pastime: BASEBALL!
Although there are many variations of Rotisserie Baseball and Fantasy Baseball, we use the "standard 8" rotisserie categories as described in the book that started it all--Rotisserie League Baseball by Glen Waggoner and Robert Sklar. This book is a must-read for any new team owner and a must-have for the bookshelf of any rotisserie veteran.
We look forward to interaction with other Rotisserie Baseball and Fantasy Baseball players about one of the most exciting hobbies around!

Updated April 17, 2001 The results of the 2001 Auction Draft are now online. The stat report is also available via Northshore Software. Check your recent emails for the web address for the stat report. Check your rosters for any errors. So far, there have been three errors reported: Albert Pujols not listed on Super Kings roster; Tony Fernandez not listed on Hurricanes roster; and the wrong Bobby Jones listed on the Razmataz roster. Dave Sutula, new owner of the Dudley Do Rites franchise, has asked the CJRL Rules Committee to make a change in our auction procedures. Instead of the normal "Going once, going twice, gone" utilized by our auctioneer, Sutula requests it be done a different way. As Sutula has stated: "Why don't you just go like this 'Hey Hibbdy habbydi one dolla, hobbadi hippety one fitty'. Now that's an auction!" When reached for comment, CJRL auctioneer and all-around great guy Phil Chodroff replied "What is he talking about?". The CJRL Rules Committee is seriously considering this drastic change in our auction methods. In what some might call a desparation move, Peacekeepers owner Mike Chodroff has changed the franchise name to Peacewreckers. When asked why he made the change, Chodroff punched our cameraman in the nose, threw the camera into a dumpster, and stated "Get that camera out of my face! I'm not gonna talk about this anymore!" A new attitude for the Peacekeep...er, I mean, Peacewreckers? Yes indeed! It could have been MUCK. Or SLIME. Or even GRIME. But the name chosen for this new franchise is G.L.O.B., which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Baseball. Five time CJRL champion Debbie Streckenbein, owner of the DNTs, and original owner Joanne Rodgers of the Black Flags, Checkered Flags, and finally Hayley's Heroes, have joined forces to form GLOB. The two owners decided to take over the original Hayley's Heroes franchise, as it finished higher in the standings last year than did the DNTs. However, the historical link to the DNTs has been severed forever. Many in the CJRL have been troubled by this merger. Terminators owner Larry Johnson had this to say: "GLOB? It's sad. Just plain sad." Knuckle Knockers owner and former Black Flags partner Mike Giglio added "They can call themselves GLOB, they can call themselves SLOB. They can be BLOB--It doesn't matter. The Knuckle Knockers have no fear this season, so watch out!" They are finally here! Check out all the pictures from the 2000 Auction Draft. Pictures from the 2001 CJRL Auction Draft will be online soon! |
