Especially during your high school years, the pressure is on you to get good grades. You're told that you just have to do well on your SAT and ACT or else you'll never amount to anything. You have to worry about financial aid for college..and you have to worry about where you're going to go to college period. It's a lot of stress.

To help you out with one little aspect of that, here are some study tips that help me out a lot when things get rough:

  1. Flashcards really do help. Whether it be memorizing formulas for chemistry or words in Japanese, flashcards can help you learn and retain them.

  2. Set aside time to study. If you set a specific time to study and stick to it, you'll probably do a lot better. Don't watch TV or do something else while studying! :)

  3. Do all your homework. I can't believe I'm saying this, but..do as much homework as you can every night. It's important so that you can learn the test material.

  4. Review old assignments. It's a great way to study for tests and not have to cram!

  5. Glance ahead to the future. It's okay to look ahead a section or chapter in your math book so you can see what's coming up! Then it won't take you by surprise. :)

Hope that they help! :)
