Is life on a university campus anywhere near life out in the "real" world?  Not a chance, in my opinion.  Smart students are brown nosers.  Who holds the power?  Professors and to a lesser extent, the administration.  Who gives the grades?  Letters of recommendation?  Who grades that subjective test you have to take?  For that matter, who decides that you are taking a test which is sooooo subjective?

Who parks in the best spots?  The professors, staff and administration.  Who are the customers?  Can you name me any other business that gives the employees the best parking spots?  Let me know if you can think of any, you hear now!

One more thought--have you seen the bumper sticker that says "Get in, sit down, shut up and hang on"?  Well, I really don't like that bumper sticker but I thought about it the other day in class.  Some professors attitudes seem to epitomize that bumper sticker.  Get to class every day (never mind if you are sick), sit down (don't leave the class for any reason), shut up and hang on...for whatever I dish out, decide the correct answer is for that test question, or quantity of homework I assign, even if it's the night before one of his big tests the next day.

What do you think of the bumper sticker "Mean People suck"?  Tell me about your thoughts.
