Music in CD Player: Dave Matthews Band Live @ Red Rocks
Mood: yay!
SNOW DAY!!! It's all gooooood! I hate snow. But I love snow days.
Well, my birthday has come and gone. I'm 18! Finally, a legal adult! It feels kinda weird, actually...18 and still a virgin...oh well, there's time, right?
Well, for my birthday, I went with my family to Beardslee, got some presents (new DVD-ROM for my computer, baby! Now I can watch NGE and do webpages at the same time! Genius!), and surprisingly got two calls from Germany -- one from my fourth host family, the Kossens, in which I talked with the kids and the whole sheebang...it was awesome. Then Dennis' family called -- um...yeah, ok. I'm just glad that he's found someone his own age at last -- there is a God!
So on Saturday Chris came over, but before that I went with his family to see Scrooge at the Stanley -- good times, good times. Even better times when he's at my house... I swear I'm going to fall in love one of these days...Woah...Did I just say the L-word?!?!
So, what to do with the rest of today's afternoon? Maybe some writing/reading....making out?

Music in CD Player: the stuff that I never got the chance to play
at Brant's...
Mood: dejected
Went to a Brant party again. Man, things have changed. I talked to Woody about it when we went for a walk. I guess he couldn't really take it either. It was good when it used to be the same group of guys and me hanging out every other weekend, when Chris and I ruled the floor with our music, jamming to Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin with "the beer," a ski and a skipole...times when it was rare for Briggs and Joel to show up, and seeing Twis there was even rarer. I remember that's how I met him, when he won the dice game...good times, good times. Anyway, that's how I wish it was, when it was just Chris, me, Renshaw, sometimes Mark, sometimes Phil and Woody, always Sky...Sky, man. He's changed so much. It used to be he'd be over to Brant's in the blink of an eye if he found out there was a party. Most times he'd be the first to know about it. Now we had to coax him to show up. The more things stay the same, the more they really change after all, just like the more things change, the more they stay the same...
"Everyday things change...basically they stay the same."
I've become a huge Dave fan again. It's great. I've also been inspired to record myself on the computer and make mp3s. It's really great. It's amazing to hear my voice and guitar coming back at me on a stereo. Ah, the wonders of modern technology. I never thought I'd be able to do something like that unless I went to a studio of something. I guess I'm more naive about modern-day technological home advances than I thought I was...In any case, you can listen to some of my stuff by clicking on the links on the main page...But read the rest of this first!
I don't know -- I'm just not feeling too hott right now. All the elation of last night's Christmas Ball in Mohawk with Chris is just falling at my feet. That night...wow. That's all I can say, besides the fact that I'm freaking falling in love for the first time...yep. You heard right. I did say the L-word and I meant it...It's just so weird. I mean before I was shy about being in public with someone I was going out with but now it's just...I enjoy being with him in everything and anything we do. I feel like myself when I'm with him -- I've never felt this strongly about someone before. For the first time, when I look at him, I don't see anyone else.
