Arizona's State Bird
is the Cactus Wren.

• As its name implies, it frequently nests on a cactus, often the Saguaro.

• This bird is tiny, only 6.5 to 8 inches from head to tail.

• A wily bird, the Cactus Wren builds many nests, but only lives in one of them!

• The Cactus Wren became the state bird in 1973.
