a rendezvous with kate
i'm 20 now and patiently or not so patiently waiting for my 21st birthday in september. i go to university at buffalo, where i'll be graduating next spring with a BA in art. i love music even more than physical art but i bet everyone does. some bands i love are muse, radiohead, incubus, dandy warhols, jj72, placebo, a perfect circle, and the notwist.
i watch the spanish channel, old futurama episodes, south park, dating shows [blind date, extreme dating, 5th wheel]. i love bowling and will probably kick your ass in it. if crayons get near me i slice them up into necklaces or bury them in candle wax. for 3 years i was an awesome fencer. you missed it.
family: my mom is a writer of children's books and works at Stony Brook writing brochures for the school like the View book. right now she is on the cusp of getting her pilot's liscense. she loves dancing, biking, the sun, foreign foods, concerts, art, and singing in a chorus. vanessa, my older sister, graduated MIT with a degree in brain and cognitive science and then whisked off to Japan to teach english to random businessmen. zoe, my younger sister, is 18 and plays guitar and sings in coffee houses, works at camp making beaded necklaces and playing kickball with little kids, has an amazing sense of direction, and is going to McGill next year in Montreal. i'm jealous. my dad works for buck consultants in nyc, has tons of bowling trophies, and spends all his money on dancing and various ethnic foods.
right now i'm just home for the summer working at Loew's movie theatre and doing all the normal crazy summer stuff. i can't wait to quit my job so i can dye my hair pink.
