Traveling without Bloodshed

Okay this may seem like a morbid title but if you have ever traveled with a car full of kids you know that it can sometimes get pretty ugly.
Mom is a pretty good sport about driving long distances since she has to drive 2 1/2 hours one way to pick us up from our dads, she learned real quick like that there needed to be some diversion tactecs to keep the van from flipping. We never get into our van if we are going to be gone for more than two hours without a cooler full of water bottles, apples and a bag of pretzels. And the pockets on the van seats always have Word Find puzzle books, notebooks paper, a hand full of pencils, I think there is a book on Birds of North America in there too. *giggle* I dunno? Oh and DUH a fully loaded First Aid Kit.
Now for the real fun stuff!!!

We have this cool laminated pamphlet that we got at like Mind Construction or something and it has travel games on it like a scavenger hunt, license plate bingo and some other stuff. This is where imagination comes in. We have used that thing so many times that we decided to make up our own scavenger hunt lists. And super license plate bingo to include more car colors. We have a deck of cards that are "Twenty Questions" we liked it so much that mom made up another deck with big index cards and new questions.
