I know some of you are wondering what I am really like, who is this person who has been with so many animals. Well, this page will be set aside for those who want to get to know about me. Those who wonder what I am doing now and in the past to introduce myself to my readers.
While in the womb I was diagnosised as a tumor. So you see, my life started out strange. After high school, I worked mainly at office jobs except when my son and daughter were born. As a teen I was a track and field star and in the special chorus for my jr high and senior high. Shortly after my daughter's birth I went to work at the post office (yes I can go postal and I love postal jokes). While working for the post office I also trained as an EMT. All my plans went up in smoke after I received a back injury on the job for the post office. I am now on workers comp and social security for the rest of my life. I retired/disabled in 1992. In 1993 I suffered a stroke, but the bright side is that it did not effect my brain.
My first marriage was to an abusive alcoholic that I was married to for 13 yrs. In the long run it was worth it because I have a wonderful son, 24 yrs old, and no mother could ever ask for a better son. He lives in Tampa, Fl and is married to the sweetist woman, they will have their 3rd anniversary Aug 1998.
I never thought I would have another child, but I was blessed with a daughter 12 yrs after my son's birth. she is also the best daughter any mother could wish for.
My second husband is the greatest guy on the face of the earth. He is my soul mate and has stood by my side through medical and money problems. He is also disabled, but treats me like a queen. There are not too many things I can do because of the stroke, but he and my daughter take care of the things I can not do. My life is full, and rewarding. I have my husband and children..who could ask for more.
I do wildlife rehab and rescue, I do volunteer work on the rape and crisis line for REACH. We own a 4 1/2 foot iguanna, a cockatiel, 3 pure wolves (domestically bred) and 2 wolfdogs. My life is filled with light and love.
