Brownie Law Picture Frame Craft
When talking to the Brownies about the second part of our law, "I help take care of the world around me" you can include how the group can help their world by using items for crafts that might otherwise be thrown away. Ask them to bring in old cardboard frames (the type their school pictures come in) and any old puzzles that have pieces missing. If you dont have time for this you could always pick up ahead of time from garage sales etc. Talk about the different colours in the puzzle pieces and ask them to think of things in nature that are the same colour.
Brownie Law Picture Frame Instructions:
Make copies of the law (if using different size cardboard frames you will need to make different sizes). Place the copy of the law inside the picture frame first (this way Brownies can make sure puzzle pieces dont hide any of the words).
Use a tackier type glue to glue puzzle pieces around the edge of frame.
When dry stand the frame up.
Other Suggestions: If they wish Brownies can take the law out once they know it and insert a picture...or better yet they could make two, one for their law and one for a gift!
Wouldn't these make a nice gift on enrollment day!. Older Brownies could make these but insert the promise instead of the law to present to younger Brownies as a gift on enrollment day!
