Hi there! My name is Courtney, but I guess that should be rather obvious by now. I am a senior at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I am studying Vocal Music Eduaction with the hope of becoming a music teacher. After that, I'm hoping to obtain my master's degree in Music Education.
I am through with the student teaching aspect of my college journey. Through my trials and tribulations, I've made many lifetime friends and learned SO many wonderful things. I invite you to see some examples of what I'm hinting at my visiting my electronic portfolio which is under the beginning stages of construction right now.
I come from a family of 5 1/2 which isn't very big or
very small. My sister and brother are currently 11&12 years
old, respectively. The live in West Des Moines with my
mom, step-father, and 3 cats: Morgana, Anakin, and Noah.
I am the middle of trying to convince both Erik and Kristin that they need to develop their own web pgaes, so the following is simply a "Reader's Digest" version of my brother and sister who are actually great kids!
Kristin is 11 years old, very involved in swimming, school, friends, and music. (N'Sync????) Shs's a very smart, and very athletic. Being in the sixth grade she is just beginning to find out what she thinks life just might be about. I hesitate to say too much else as her opinions about things (even about me) change on what seems to be a daily basis. Hopefully she will be developing her own webpage sometime in the near future.
Erik
My little brother's interests change daily. He's great. He is searching for his true sport. We've tried baseball, basketball, and ice and roller hockey. None of those sports hit the spot.
A few years back he played on a YMCA team that they named the "Orangemen." (For those who know more than I about basketball, I'm sure this name mocks some wonderful team.... somewhere...) He has outrageous red hair which is the best part of his personality, and contributes to his attitude. Ever met a 12 year old who thinks they know more about life than anyone
else? You have now!
He is in the beginning stages of building his own webpage which I have to admit, is quite good. Afterall, he has a wonderful mentor (if you don't mind me patting myself on the back, Erik...) to help him learn all the html one needs to know in conjunction with geocites wonderful basic html editor. He's on his way. Check it out!
All in all they are pretty great kids. They try hard,
and although they don't share the intense love of
Winnie-the-Pooh that I do, I'm working to get them
there!
The 1/2 is made up of my kitty... As I mentioned
before, her name is Morgana and she's the best cat on the
planet regardless of what my family says about her...
*smile* She is in the picture at the top, and she's
looking very pretty I might add.
That hunk in the prom picture (isn't that a wonderful
looking tree?) is my husband, Wade. He's a wonderful guy
that has helped me lots through the good and the bad. We've
been together for about four years now. I'm not sure how
I would've done this college thing without his support.
He's awesome! Yeah, Wade!
We recently tied the knot six months earlier than announced. (NO, I'm not expecting!) It was a beautiful ceremony. Have a look!

PS- All the pictures on this page are about four years old. I am in the process of coming across some newer pictures to put on here. :)
