As you probably noticed, I have not updated my Anne pages in quite sometime. I have finally decided to update and expand the site. I've had a visitor from Canada ask if the movie was ever shown on CBC. Since I live in the U.S. I don't know. If anyone has any information about the new Anne movie I would appreciate it. (12-19-99)


I have had a couple inquiries about the new Anne movie. There is a new movie, Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story. It is the third and final installment of Sulivan Entertainments Anne of Green Gables series. It was filmed in 1998 and will air in Canada on CBC sometime in the fall/winter of 1999. It will air in the U.S. on PBS sometime in the fall of 2000. This movie doesn't follow L.M. Montgomery's story line of Anne Shirley, but it definately an Anne Shirley story. Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story does bring Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie back together as they portray Anne and Gilbert.
