BOTTLE ANGEL
Materials:
1 20 oz plastic pop bottle (rinsed out, don't need cap)
1 cup sand (if making a free standing angel)
1 1 3/4 " wooden ball (acrylic paint to do eyes and moutn, blush for the
cheeks)
1 20 x 10 inch piece of Christmas material
1 5 x 20 inch piece of contrasting or same material
1 5 " piece of lace, manufacture gathers
1 15 inch piece of twist ribbon, gold or matching color
1 small twist tie or floral wire
1 small floral piece that will fit in angels "hands"
thin ribbon for decrative bows (2)
curly doll hair, any color
6 inches of gold pipe cleaner
hot glue gun

1. If you are making your angel to stand on a table top. Fill bottle with
one cup of sand.
If you are making it as tree topper, cut off the bottom of the pop
bottle

2. Gather the one edge (20") of the 20x10 material. Make the gathers
tight to fit around the neck of the bottle.

3. Glue the gathered edge around the bottle neck. Go to about the 1 screw
ridge from the top or opening, don't glue to the very edge of the
opening. This is the angel's dress. Glue a few places down the seam to
close.

4. Next fold the smaller piece of material in to thirds, over lapping the
folds. Finger press or already have the material pressed.

5. Tie the middle of the material in a 1 time knot. Make the flat side of
the knot on the same side as the right side of the material, not the side
with the raw edges. The knot becomes the hands of the angel.

6. Glue the raw edges at the back of the bottle, match it with the seam
of the dress material. Angle the material downward so that the hands are
hanging down in front.

7. Glue the lace aroung the top of the bottle, covering the raw edges of
the dress and arm material.

8. Gllue the item that the angel is holding in her hand to her hand and
tie a small bow and glue to the front of the hands.

9. Untwist the paper ribbon. Fashion wings (big bow) from the ribbon Make
sure to leave some tails, they look more like wings that way. Glue on to
back of angel. This will cover the seams.

10. Glue the head on the top of the bottle. (Paint face first if not
already done.)

11. Glue hair on the head.

12. Make a halo out of the pipe cleaner and glue into hair, hiding the
end.

13. Glue a little bow at the front neckline.

Hope you can understand the instructions. If there are any questions let
me know. These are very pretty and both troops loved them.

Pumpkin Craft

Supplies needed:
    Dryer vent
    Orange spray paint
    Green felt
    Fake fall leaves
    Tacky Glue
    Green spray paint
    Cone shaped styrofoam
    Small wiggly eyes
    Small black pom pom
    Green pipe cleaners

* Cut off section of dryer vent and make into a circle glueing the two ends together. (so you have a nice size pumpkin)
* Spray paint the dryer vent orange (let dry)
* Spray paint the styrofoam green for the stem (let dry)
* Curl the green pipe cleaner around your finger. Put a little glue on the pipe cleaner and place on top in center hole of
pumpkin. Place glue on styrofoam stem and press down into center on top of pumpkin.
* Cut two green leaves out of felt and place on top of pumpkin.
* Glue additional fake fall leaves to the bottom of the pumpkin (it then looks like it's sitting in a pile of leaves.)
* Glue wiggly eyes to the black pom pom and glue on green leaf on top of pumpkin. That's it!

You now have a real neat looking center piece. With the ruffled dryer vent it really looks like a pumpkin.
Note: This would take two meetings because it takes awhile for the paint to dry on the plastic vent.

Snowman litter
Directions for use:

Since the snowman is a "productive" critter,
It helps to have the proper litter.

Poop is a thing that should not be kept,
Nor something under the rug to be swept. (how inept!)

To dispose of the poop you need to consider
Using this high tech Snowman Litter.

But should you not use the proper mix,
You'll undoubtably find yourself in a fix.

Tis best done by putting this stuff in a mug (1/3 of the cup)
Be careful and don't drop poop on the rug.

Add poop to the cup, and pour in a slug,
Of hot melted snowman right into that mug.

The poop disappears (oh hear the wild cheers)
Merry Christmas to all and a Very Happy New Year.

PUMPKIN POOP
I was carving up my pumpkin
with my knife and little scoop
He got so frightened
that he started to poop
It looked so sweet and funny
like a little candy treat
so I saved it just to give to you
because you are so sweet

SNOWMAN SOCK
Materials needed:
One tube sock per snowman (we couldn't find the ones with the colored
bands
at the top so ours were all white)
pom pom for top of hat
wiggle eyes
buttons
markers
sequins
material
ribbon (we used curling, but you could use any type ribbon)
glue  (tacky or hot glue)
stuffing
beans or wooden circle for bottom of snowman
rubber bands

Directions:
Take a tube sock and turn it inside out (we did it both ways and the
girls
like them wrong side out best).
Place beans or wooden circle in bottom of sock - this help the snowman
stand upright. One of the girls dads is a carpenter so he cut out a
bunch
of circles from about an inch or so thick wood that we placed in our
snowman.  The size of the circle was about that from a juice container
or
maybe a little larger.
Stuff the sock with fiberfill or similar product up to the banding at
the
top.
With the rubber band close the top of the sock  - wind it around several
times so that it is tight.
Fold the top of the sock down over the sock to form the hat.  You will
cover the opening part with a pom pom.
Tie the ribbon a little above the middle to form the head.
Decorate with wiggle eyes, buttons down the front, sequins, pom pom for
the
top of the hat, the girls used markers to add a mouth and rosy cheeks.
We
had used pinking shears and cut some small patches of material that some
of
the girls put on their snowman for a country type look. 1
