Job Descriptions


Leaders:
· Complete volunteer application process.
· Become a registered member of GSUSA.
· Help the girls identify their interests, needs and abilities and, in
    partnership with them, build a program to meet those needs.
· Complete Basic Leadership trainings.
· Support the council’s goals and objectives.
· Follow the practices that ensure safe programs.
· Help girls develop appropriate money management skills.
· Maintain records, submit finance reports.
· Attend or send a representative to the leader meetings in your Service Unit.
· Be willing to devote time to leadership.
· Keep in contact with parents.

CO-Leaders:
· All the above information.   Share responsibilities, program ideas and leadership with fellow Troop Leader.

Assistant Leader:
· Complete volunteer application process.
· Become a registered member of GSUSA.
· Help the Leader with program activities.
· Be the "required" second adult at all troop meetings.
· Be willing to help the Leader whenever possible.

Troop Committee Member:  Cookie Manager; Calendars; QSP; Treasurer
· Complete volunteer application process.
· Become a registered member of GSUSA.
· Follow the practices that ensure safe programs.
· Complete any necessary training provided by Council for event/activity.
· Support the troop’s goals and objectives.
· Maintain records, submit reports.
· Keep in contact with the Leader/CO-Leaders

Troop Representative:
· Attend monthly Service Unit meetings.
· Take notes and collect all information, submit report to the
    Leader/CO-leaders.

First-Aider:
· Become a registered member of GSUSA.
· Take required course(s).  (Level 1 and/or Level 2)
· Be willing to devote time for outside activities/events.
· Follow the practices that ensure safe programs.

Trip Chaperones/Drivers:
· Become a registered member of GSUSA.
· Follow the practices that ensure safe programs.
· Maintain vehicle in proper working order and a seat-belt for each person.
· Support the troop’s goal and objectives.
· Be willing to devote time for outside activities/events.
