January 13th was Ms. Lori's last meeting as a Co-leader. Ms. Dana (Megan's mom) has volunteered to be the
assistant leader for Ms. Karen. She will start her duties on the 20th and I'm sure Ms. Karen & the troop appreciates her stepping forward.
The troops display board on the wall needs to be updated but you can still Check out the TROOP Street Sign made by the City dept. and other yearly info.
The girls have Ireland to represent for the Thinking Day celebration. Each will have a buddy to work with, on a specific project relating to this country. On 2/19 the girls will present their *booth* to other local troops to help us all remember our SISTERS in Scouting/Guiding. The girls will receive their WAGGGS pins (if they don't already have one).
The troop has changed their meeting style to "town meeting". This means 4 girls will hold positions for approx. 2 months then re-elections are held. The positions are Troop leader - Caitlin; Asst. troop leader - Debbie; Secretary - Breanna; Treasurer - Megan. These girls were elected at the meeting held on the 6th when the girls campaigned for their positions! Congratulations Girls and remember your responsibilities to your troop!
Unfortunately, the troop has or will be losing a few girls by the end of the month. They include Brittany, Ashley, Marisa, Katie, Bethany and Ms. Lori. However, the troop has already filled a couple of these slots... with new friends and sisters to meet and share scouting with. The best of Luck for all our traveling Scout sisters!
