Skill 1 --                                                                                                                             Deduction
BALANCING AT SLOW SPEED -- The rider starts from a standstill with the
front wheel at one end of the lane, and very slowly rides through the lane, keeping
inside the lane lines.
Each time a tire touches either lane line.                                                                               _________

Each time driver falls or touches the ground with foot.                                                           _________
One point for each second of time less than 30 seconds for traveling a distance of 50 feet.     _________
Skill 2 --
BRAKING -- Mount your bicycle and pedal toward an object.  Ride at a comfortable
speed.  At some point during the ride, the command will be given to "STOP" as a signal
to make an emergency stop in a straight line.
Each time driver stops pedaling before the command is given.                                               _________
Each time driver swerves in making the stop.                                                                        _________

Skill 3 --
STEERING -- The rider assumes a comfortable speed and must travel the distance
of 30 feet between parallel lines placed 14" apart.

Each time driver falls or touches the ground with either foot.                                                 _________
Skill 4 --
SIGNALING -- The drivers are tested for their knowledge of signals.  They turn
at right angles, with a start and a finish line.  The rider starts at the start and drives to
each corner and signals properly.  Make sure that he only uses his left hand, and then
at the end make sure he puts his arm down to stop.

Skill 5 --
RIDING IN A CIRCLE -- Between two concentric circles with diameters of 15
and 20 feet to make a circular path two feet wide, ride around the circle four times
at a comfortable speed staying within the path.

Each time driver falls or touches the ground with either foot.                                                _________
Each time wheels roll off the path, inside or outside.                                                            _________
Skill 6 --
MANEUVERING --  Traveling at a comfortable speed, weave to pass on alternate
sides of markers placed 25 feet apart in a straight line 150 feet long.
Each time a marker is touched by any part of the driver.                                                     _________
Each time driver falls or touches the ground.                                                                       _________
Each time driver fails to weave between two consecutive markers.                                      _________
