The way I decide what is safe is to ask myself a question "Would I tell a stranger this information?". We never tell strangers these things and the people that will be visiting your WebPage are strangers too. You can share lots of things about yourself without giving strangers any personal information.

•Before you put any links on your page, get your Mom or Dad's permission. The places you link to say a lot about who you are and what you like. If you want to link to a friend's page, not only should you ask your parents, but you should also ask your friend's. Your parents should make sure that your friend's page is a safe WebPage, and your friend's parents should check yours. You should always ask permission before including any information about friends on your site. Some parents may not want their child's name or age used on the Internet. You might ask "Why?" well think about it like this, would you want your name appearing on someone else's page without your knowledge. I didn't think so, and your parents should check the site before the information is shown to other visitors.

•Before you post a picture of you, your family or friends on your page, you should always have your parents, and your friend's if they are in the picture, permission. Pictures can be fun, but some parents do not want pictures of their children posted on the Internet. There are lots of other way to create a colorful WebPage. You can add graphics or music, colorful backgrounds or animations. Whatever you choose will still say a lot about you.

Building a safe WebPage can be lots of fun. Your WebPage says a lot about you, and a safe WebPage lets everyone know that you are above all responsible and smart!
