We were the architects who designed this building at Glenmore Road Public School. The main block was designed in 1998. It housed years 1 - 6. In the year 2010 this block was renovated to house years 7 - 8 as well. The building has a lift which runs from the first to the top floor. On the top of the building there are 20 solar panels to power the building. The panels are very powerful because the ozone layer has a massive hole in it as a result of pollution. The ground floor of the building is a large canteen which supplies food to the students. Julius and William - 5/6 Giallo

We have designed the classroom of the year 2040. Glenmore Road Public School has been extended to a night and day school because the over-population of students who attend this school. Teachers take shifts - one day and one night - 6 days a week. Days Attendance : 500 children attend the day school. There are 50 students per class and ten teachers throughout the school. Night Attendance : 250 children attend the night school which is run by 5 teachers from 6.30 to 11.00 pm. Damon and Gabe - 5/6 Giallo

            

ADVERTISEMENT SKATE PARK There is now a SKATE PARK in the top playground for the use of years 5 and 6. It has a Quarter Pipe, Fun Box and Grinding Poles and was built by popular demand of the students. The SKATE PARK is open to the public on weekends for a daily entrance fee of only $52 THIS IS THE CHEAPEST SKATEBOARD ENTERTAINMENT IN THE CITY IN THE YEAR 2020 Kenneth - 5/6 Giallo

In the future the teacher will stay at home in the bath and she could have a relaxing glass of champagne. Afterwards she would press a red button that makes robots chase the naughty kids. Then she would press another button that would make the robots teach everyone. Later on the teacher would talk to the children in her classroom through a microphone. Laura and Alana - 2 Viola

In 100 years people could go upstairs on T-Bars and if teachers were sick, a robot could replace them. Teachers could press a button and a machine could take a drink up to their mouths and then they could press the button again and it would go back to the table. The children could ride around in buggies so their legs won't get so tired.

Because this is the year 2040 the school Olympic Games are on and Glenmore Road can't wait, so they start the day with sprint training at 7.30 on Monday morning. They train every day in either athletics or swimming. At 9.00 am the children email their internet penfriends who are now living on Mars. At 9.30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday the students receive lessons over the internet on the language of Jupiter and on Tuesday and Thursday they learn how to speak Japanese. From Monday to Thursday the children have Computer Technology and on Friday they show the class the project they have been working on. On Mondays and Fridays the Geography of Mars is studied and at 3.30 every day they learn how to save the planet as the hole in the ozone layer is now so large. I think the school of the future would be better than now or in the past, because there would be flying chairs, robots, computers and.... NO TEACHERS!!!! Charlie - 2 Viola
