WILDCATS KICK GRASS!!!

Monday, March 30, 1998: Today was my first practice.  We decided to name our team the WILDCATS!!!  We played a scrimmage against the Sharks and beat them 8-0. We didn't get our uniforms yet though. I met a cool kid named, Kevin Reeves.  My coach's name is Mike Zarikta.  He plays soccer at college. The assistant coach is Todd Williams. They're really cool!
Wednesday, April 1, 1998: We had our second practice.  We did a lot of drills and got our uniforms.  They're purple and gold jerseys, gold shorts and gold socks.  I'm number 11.  Kevin is number 5.  Then my step-dad, Jay, took me to the mall to get shin guards and cleats.  I didn't want to take my uniform off but, my mom finally made me.
Saturday, April 4, 1998:  Our first game!!!  We played the Sharks again.  This time it was for real.  I blocked to kicks by sliding in front of the ball.  We were so good at keeping the ball away from our goal that our goalie, Andrew Tipton, got to come out and play (while he was still goalie!!!).  We WON 4-0, so our ranking is 1 and 0!  My mom and Jay took pictures, so as soon as we get them scanned, I will add them.
Fall 1998:  These season I played on another team called the Wildcats.  We wore black and white uniforms. Our coach was Coach Fernandez.  He was nice, but really tough.  We went undefeated all season until the last game.  We lost that one by 1 point!
